Paco Chika was born the 13 of 1966 July in Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz - Spain), a small town of the deep Extremadura, in a humble family. From very young he showed a talent for drawing and painting, but by lack of means he could not study Arts. Nevertheless, he never quitted painting, intimately bound to another one of his great passions: to travel.
With a suggestive style he devotes himself to the work well done, and he invites us to return to the territory of the good painting.
He flirted with Surrealism, and fell in love with Pop and the style of the 60'. His work is global, complex, diverse and direct, able to find in the light of its Atlantic Lanzarote the secrets that confirm to him that painting hoards a powerful force full of mystery.
Chika does not wish to be labeled in a tendency or style, but, on the contrary, he wants to be known and valued as a whole, as a complex and diverse painter. A fragmentary and multidimensional being, who instead of giving answer, scatters mystery. (Text by: A. Díaz)
