Vicente Hernandez,a trendy and well-known artist on the Castellón scene, has gathered several prizes and honourable mentions in contests such as “Premio Senyera de Arte”(Organized by Valencian Town Hall) ,and “Certamen Nacional de pintura de Burriana”( Organized by Burriana Cultural centre La Merced, Castellón).
Vicente´s painting influences are clearly derived from highly relevant Manuel Sáez, and no doubt from his professional background as a product designer.
After his first individual exhibition in “Tretze” art gallery in Castellón, Vicente definitely presented himself as a pop artist. It´s also worth pointing out that he took part in the so called collective exhibition in “La Merced” cultural centre in Burriana dedicated to spanish writer García Lorca (this would be afterwards the site for one of Vicente´s individual exhibition on his own).
Furthermore, Vicente´s works have already started to be admired abroad : a breath-taking exhibition of cool kitchen accesssories and fittings at the Caimi stand in Milan,and impressive paintings for other well-known and consolidated European companies like Doca (Spain) and glue multinational Jowat(Germany). Vicente is, definitely, an artist who gives his canvases a smart, cool, and functional touch that makes them so unmistakable and unforgettable....
